Questions
Good to know.
How much will my visit cost?
$10 for each notarial act, which is the most Michigan allows, plus a travel fee. You approve the total before I leave for your address.
Can you tell me what my document means or help fill it out?
No. I’m a notary, not an attorney, so I can’t give legal advice or choose a form for you. Talk with a lawyer about what to sign.
Can you notarize a copy of a birth certificate?
No. Certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records come from the county clerk or the State of Michigan.
What if a signer doesn’t have a valid ID?
Michigan law requires me to confirm each signer’s identity. Call me before booking and we’ll go over your options.
Do you work evenings and weekends?
Yes, by appointment. Same-day visits are available when the schedule allows.
